Our Specialty

Cosmetic reconstruction

We have a real passion for cosmetic reconstruction, as we’ve been lucky enough to see first-hand the difference it can make to someone's confidence to be able to smile and laugh through life. Most of us aren't lucky enough to be born with a perfect smile, so if you are unhappy about the way your teeth look why not book an appointment to discuss this with us, and find out what we can do for you?

Whether you just need a couple of veneers to brighten your smile or would like to have a complete smile makeover, we can advise you of what is achievable. Today's technology and advanced materials can literally rebuild a smile, creating a natural and aesthetically pleasing result. We will work with you to give you the kind of results that you desire, and will ensure that you are happy with the treatment at every single stage.

What does cosmetic reconstruction involve?

Cosmetic reconstruction frequently involves having orthodontic, periodontal or even maxillofacial work, and we have excellent relationships with surgeons who are at the top of their profession. This means we can assemble the very best team for your individual needs and will oversee the complete process. Every single step is carefully planned with you, and we encourage you to ask as many questions as you need, so you have complete trust in your treatment.

Can you show me how I will look?

Yes we can! After making sure your teeth and gums are healthy enough to proceed, we will take impressions of your mouth. These are cast up to create plaster models which help us plan your treatment, and can be adapted to show you how your new teeth will look. This is incredibly useful as it can be somewhat daunting to embark on this kind of treatment without being able to visualize the results.

Our dental laboratory will modify your existing teeth on the plaster model, according to our prescription, and using tooth colored wax will create a model of your new teeth. This means we can discuss the shape and length of your teeth with you, and can continue adapting this diagnostic wax up model until you are happy. It's quite likely that when the time comes we will use this model to make your temporary teeth, and this will enable you to see how they will look and feel in the mouth, so that the final modifications can be made before your permanent teeth are constructed in our laboratory.

A full mouth reconstruction isn't a quick process, and we think it's better to approach it slowly and make sure that each treatment achieves the desired result. By doing it in this way you will get a much better overall outcome and should be assured that you are fully supported along every step of the way.
